Analog IFB
Over the years people have asked us to describe the differences between the Model 41 Interface and the Model 42A Interface. The answer is simple: Both units unit have the same circuitry, perform the same functions, and have four 3-pin male XLR connectors on their back panel for access to the powered IFB outputs. But the Model 42A also has four 3-pin male XLR connectors on its front panel. This can be useful when you need direct,

ST 2110
Studio Technologies is making good progress with our upcoming set of products that support the new ST 2110 standards. First to be ready will be the line-level analog to/from ST 2110 interfaces. The Model 5512-01 will have 8-in/8-out. The Model 5512-02 will have 16-in/16-out. (See https://studio-tech.com/products/model-5512-audio-interface/ for photos of actual unit.) We’re targeting next month (July 2018) for first field trials.
Development is also going well on the Model 5518 which will have 8 mic/line inputs (XLR3F connectors on the front panel) and 8 line-level analog outputs (DB-25F on the back panel).

Analog Intercom
Testing & Troubleshooting
For testing and troubleshooting analog party-line (PL) intercom circuits we think that there’s nothing better than the MR-PRO from NTI Instruments. (https://www.nti-audio.com/en/products/minirator-mr-pro-mr2). While it was designed as a general-purpose audio generator with some test capabilities it ends up being fantastic for analog PL intercom work. It will directly measure impedance and DC voltage, independently from pin 2 to pin 1 and from pin 3 to pin 1, exactly what you need to understand a PL circuit’s characteristics.
